Thank you for visiting Cobden Primary school’s website. We hope you find all the information you are looking for. We are in the process of updating our website to contain up-to-date details of this wonderful school. Please do check back from time to time.
Cobden Primary School is a large school in the heart of Loughborough. We are a primary school that enjoys the benefits of working as part of a group of schools called The Bradgate Education Partnership (BEP). We work collaboratively with primary and secondary schools as part of these arrangements, regularly sharing practices, ideas, and resources. We are a growing school with two classes within each year group catering for children from 2 year olds in our pre-school to 11 in our Year 6 classes. We are extremely proud of the children at the school and of the educational offer that we provide to them. Staff at Cobden truly put children’s individual needs at the heart of everything that we do – the result: happy, friendly, successful children, striving to be the the very best that they can be.
Our school curriculum aims to provide every child with a rich, fulfilling and purposeful education with a goal of all children having high aspirations for their own future. The children are at the heart of every decision that we make at the school and we pride ourselves on providing a high-quality education supported by an ethos based around high attendance, healthy wellbeing, and positive behaviour.
We very strongly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and we value close working relationships, input and support with our families. We have excellent Family Support within the school, enjoy working with the local community, and have many links and partnerships within the wider area and beyond to support the children and the wider family needs as a school.
We are very proud of our school and like to think that we make the most of every opportunity with our grounds: including the use of various outdoor learning spaces – a school garden, pond, and wildlife areas – use of a large Multi-Use Activity Area (MUGA) for our outdoor play and PE lessons and a Trim-Trail for exercise and for physical learning opportunities.
If you are interested in finding out more about our school, or wish to visit us, please do call to make arrangements to come in. I look forward to welcoming you.
